This spanish tortilla was my favorite, from an out-of-the-way booth and eaten in the park. Compared to the ones I've had in the US, these were more potato + vegetable filling than egg, which made for a much lighter fluffier texture.
"Antxoas" (anchovy) was one of the most common flavors of pintxo. My favorites had garlic and tomato on the toast.
Gilda (pickled peppers + olive + anchovy) was also a classic.
The Google Maps effect in full force... One spot picks up steam on english reviews so there's a giant line there, and the rest of the block gets hung out to dry. I'm sure the spot is good, but by that much?? If you're reading this, reminder to visit spots that don't have 1,000 5 star Google reviews! It's more fun and probably better for the local ecosystem
