Miso nikomi udon. I had heard of this, but first time trying. The udon were surprisingly al dente -- like Italian pasta al dente -- which is rare in Japanese food.I have a big thing for tanuki, so I take a look whenever I see in the shop window. Sadly, none of these came home this time.I was told that this year's oyster harvest was light and there's a bit of a shortage. So obviously I had to go eat as many as possible.Found one of the earliest blooming Sakura trees in Tokyo, of all places....
